The QA Level 3 Award in the Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medication (RQF) is intended for employees of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Registered Organisation, that have a very specific responsibility at work to administer and monitor the effects of medication.
Learners on this course will gain the knowledge and confidence to safely provide ‘lifesaving medication’ in emergency or life-threatening incidents.
Topics covered on the course include the determination of a patient’s current condition, guidelines and protocols in regards to the administration of the medication, and common types of lifesaving medication that are often used.
The Qualification and learning outcomes are based on the guidance of the Resuscitation Council (UK), Skills for Health Assessment Principles, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
